La Crosse Gymnastics took fourth at the MVC meet in Sparta, scoring a 108.475, slightly below last meet’s 111.8. Lavender Blumenstein, freshman, shined on the vault, scoring a career high 7.75 with a clean front handspring. Brailyn Haskey tied for her career high on floor. Beam continues to improve for the team. Gracie Pomplun showed off a no fall beam routine, scoring a 6.9. Haley Edwards was a top contributor in the all-around, contributing four solid scores, especially shining on the floor and vault. Elyssa Marsolek continues to improve on her bars scores, and is working some very exciting upgrades on beam and floor.
Two top gymnasts were not at full strength; Emme Bennett, due to injury, only competed on the bars, and Maddi Marx, due to illness, did not compete all around. Despite not having a full varsity roster, La Crosse gymnasts had a very successful meet.
